Mission or Purpose
The Mid-Atlantic Karst Conservancy was established by Western Pennsylvania cavers in 1997 for the following purposes: 1. Preserving, ensuring access to, acquiring, and managing caves and karst areas for conservation, scientific study, and recreational caving. 2. Education of landowners, cavers, and the general public in the importance of karst resources and ways to preserve them.
