Mission or Purpose
The Lackawanna Valley Conservancy's mission is to involve citizens of the Lackawanna River Watershed with conservation and stewardship of the River, its tributaries and water resources. Our goals defining our non profit are to clean up and conserve the River environment, aid in the development of the 40-mile Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, create stakeholder partnerships, and promote environmental education, conservation studies, and research.
