Mr. Falkenstein’s diverse background includes environmental science, ecology, hydrobiology, botany, forestry, land use planning, dendrology, and soils analysis. His primary responsibilities include wetland identification and delineation, environmental assessments, and rare species searches. His responsibilities include project budgeting/billing, field data collection and analysis, group scheduling, and overall project management. Mr. Falkenstein also trains entry-level biologists in field data collection methodology, botany and dendrology, and wetland delineation methodology. In his more than 20 years of environmental consulting, he has conducted numerous wetland delineations at sites throughout PA, OH, MD, DE, VA, WV, NJ, NJ, and TN. He regularly conducts field meetings with USACE, DEP, USFWS, and other agencies to secure jurisdictional determinations and to develop appropriate permit applications. He routinely prepares and submits general and joint permit applications for private developers, municipalities, and state infrastructure clients. Mr. Falkenstein has conducted and participated in rare species searches for state- and federal-listed plants and animals.
