Bio
Tom has been the Director of Special Projects at Wildlands Conservancy in Emmaus, Pa. since 1998. Tom was the Director of Photography at Rodale Inc. from 1971 to 1998 when he retired in order to dedicate all his creative efforts to Wildlands. He made his first environmental photographs in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands in 1969. Since then he has been sent on photographic assignments to 47 states and many other countries, including Russia and Australia. His photography credits other than Rodale publications include the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Ortho Gardening Books, Meredith Publishing, Mother Earth News, Country Living Gardener and Parade Magazine. Tom is currently on the Board of Directors of Pennsylvania Farm Link Inc., the Lehigh County Agricultural Preservation, the Environmental Fund of Pennsylvania, the City of Allentown Planning Commission, the Upper Saucon Township Environmental Advisory Council, the Upper Milford Township Open Space Committee, the Emmaus Commemorative Garden, and the National Canal Museum’s Board of Trustees.
