Rba-update-map-300x237

Heritage Conservancy (HC) and Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) will present data collected from work completed on re-evaluating the status of riparian buffers within six (6) watersheds in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties for approximately 1,500 miles of mapped streams.

Workshop locations and dates below. All workshops are 4:00PM to 6:00PM

Tuesday 8/14:

Lower Fredrick Township Municipal Building
53 Spring Mount Road
Zieglerville, PA 19492

Wednesday 8/15:

Whitpain Township Municipal Building
960 Wentz Road
Blue Bell, PA 19422

Thursday 8/16:

Aldie Mansion
85 Old Dublin Pike
Doylestown, PA 18901

HC &MCPC staff will host three identical public workshops to present the findings of the assessment, provide a detailed overview of the GIS data and compare data from an earlier assessment that was completed in 2000 and 2001.

Geospatial data will be available in September for municipalities, watershed organizations and other interested parties to download free of charge from the Pennsylvania Spatial Data Access site (PASDA), enabling a better understanding of the existing riparian conditions in the Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia communities. Information may also be useful in preparing stormwater education and outreach materials.
